Outside World is the third chapter of the Guardian of the Witch manga series.
Summary[]
Successfully escaping from the City-State of Berne, Nata finally informs Fafuna and Manasufa Rustasia about how to turn a Witch back to a Human. Nata explains how when she wasn't taking care of Manasufa Rustasia Rustasia she dedicated herself to investigating her condition and how to help her. One day Nata Snuck into a secret library located in the basement of the Rectory, In there she examined as many tomes as she could but found one tome that had a passage stating of "A retired witch that is used as an adviser in Noir."
Fafuna is surprised to hear that the witch is retired, for Nata to go on and explain that for her to still be alive there would be two possibilities for that. The Seed of Evil she bears has either:
- 1. Stopped growing completely and she recovered
- 2. Its growth has slowed considerably
Giving the group confidence as they now plan to meet with the retired witch in Noir and cure Manasufa Rustasia.
The scene changes to show The Rector of Berne who had sent a request to the City-State of Steil to have a Witch and her Guardian dispatched to the City-State of Berne to have them capture Manasufa Rustasia.
The Rector of Berne warns the two of how skilled Fafuna Leorange is for Gen to use Steel Magic to create a sword and multiple steel pillars to prove how strong they are, they leave the rectory in confidence of them defeating their target.
Ruli reminds Gen that the reason why a guardian must be the one to kill their witch is that the shock and stress of someone else killing them can cause the birth of an extremely powerful evil. Gen is surprised and disappointed to find that out but remains eager to take down two extremely skilled people.
The scene returns to Fafuna taking down an evil who was hiding in ambush for them. The three of them then arrive at their first village on their journey to Noir which will require them to travel through 6 more villages.
Fafuna announces that it is now time for them all to wear costumes to disguise themselves as they are now in enemy territory as anyone and anything could be their foe.
The final scene shows Ruli and Gen heading for Fafuna, Manasufa Rustasia and Nata using Steel Magic to get them there.
